  • As President of the International Association of Assembly Managers (IAAM) from 2006 to 2007, Perkins appointed Ambassadors to represent IAAM around the globe to officials, venue owners and operators, and individuals, to further relationships in efforts to expand our footprint, provide educational resources and establish international public assembly best practices and standards. Such as the IAAM delegation he led to Copenhagen to meet with the USA Ambassador, the Honorable James Cain that furthered our initiatives aboard. As well as visits to China, England, Austria, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, and other countries.
  • As IAAM President, Perkins signed the agreement between IAAM and the International Red Cross which provide a framework for IAAM to train all Red Cross volunteers in the United States, establish a tracking system and provide strike teams that can be mobilized in times of disasters.
  • He entered into an agreement between IAAM and Venue Managers Association, Asia Pacific that  provided their members great resources to educational and industry experts and products and at the same time aide in extending our brand in other markets
  • In 2001, then President, Mr. Lionel Dubay, appointed Perkins as the Vice Chair of the Safety and Security Task Force (SSFT), whom mission was to address the issues facing our Nation and the Public Assembly industry after the horrific attacks on the United States.
  • Through it inception, SSTF has yielded a series of programs and curriculum far beyond imagination.  Best Practices, Emergency Preparedness, Mega-Shelter, Crises Management, Fan Violence, Severe Weather, Business Continuity, DHS, FEMA, and Red Cross relationships, Academy for Venue Safety and Security, Life Safety Council, Venue Safety and Security Magazine, VISAT, MATS Team, Katrina/Rita, Position Statements – Concealed Weapons, 24/7 Video,  and the so many other initiatives derived from SSFT.
  • Perkins has Chaired and/or served on numerous Boards, including the IAAM Foundation,  DHS development Team, Board of Directors, Board of Education, Industry Affairs, Senior Executive Symposium Boards of Governors (Cornell University) and more.
